Water’s Edge 1 / 1

Project Overview

A new building was being designed for this location in Harford County that had limited space and big plans. A major challenge was maximizing the space for the new event center and adhering to the storm water management regulations and water quality design. After going over different options for the site it was determined that using porous asphalt for their parking lot was the best choice. By using the pervious material, a storm water management system could be built beneath the parking lot. The engineer designed the system specifically for this site which included 12” of #2 stone, 4” of #57 stone, 2” of #8 stone and 8” of porous asphalt. The work required to complete this project included:
  • Installation of Porous Asphalt
  • Earthwork
  • Installation of Graded Aggregate Base
  • Installation of Water, Sewer and Storm Drain
  • Bio Retention Facility
