Gray & Son is honored to receive the Model Member of the Year award from the Greater Baltimore chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors. The award recognizes members of the chapter who are leaders in advancing the interests of the industry and organization as a whole.
Throughout the past year, Gray & Son has partnered with ABC of Greater Baltimore to bring technology to the forefront of construction education and safety through the donation of the George Palmer Equipment Operator Simulation Training Room. “We are very pleased to announce that the 2022 selection for ABC Model Member of the Year goes to Gray & Son,” said Mike Henderson, President of ABC of Greater Baltimore. “They’re leaders in workforce development and job-site safety. It was through their efforts and generosity that we were able to add Heavy Equipment Operator to our training offerings.”
The Simulation Training Room features state-of-the-art technology that will allow crews to train in a safe, controlled environment. In addition to donating the equipment, the Gray & Son team worked to develop a comprehensive curriculum that can be used for entry-level employees or experienced tradesmen who are looking to expand their skills.
Henderson also highlighted Gray & Son’s exemplification of the ABC values. “They are extremely well-connected with regional leaders and elected officials,” said Henderson. “They live out ABC’s credo, ‘Get into politics or get out of business’ as well as or better than any firm we know.”
ABC of Greater Baltimore is the largest organization in Maryland to represent the commercial construction industry. The 650 members represent the leading general contractors and specialty contractors in the region.
