M.O.T. Traffic Manager
Supervises a work crew and performs daily work projects related to the maintenance of traffic.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Discusses traffic routing plans, and type and location of control points with superior.
- Distributes traffic control signs and markers along site in designated pattern.
- Directs movement of traffic through site, using sign, hand, and flag signals.
- Warns construction workers when approaching vehicle fails to heed signals to prevent accident and injury to workers.
- Informs drivers of detour routes through construction sites.
- Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to Safety Representative and/or supervisor.
- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
- Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
- High School education required. 5+ years’ experience being a traffic manager.
Personal Skills Required
- Supervisory experience, good communication skills, Strong customer service orientation, Professional demeanor, Ability to work well under pressure, flexibility with regards to change, Strong work ethic.
