MOT Crew Lead

Job Purpose                                                                   

Supervises a work crew and performs daily work projects related to the maintenance of traffic.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Discusses traffic routing plans, and type and location of control points with superior.
  • Distributes traffic control signs and markers along site in designated pattern.
  • Directs movement of traffic through site, using sign, hand, and flag signals.
  • Warns construction workers when approaching vehicle fails to heed signals to prevent accident and injury to workers.
  • Informs drivers of detour routes through construction sites.
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to Safety Representative and/or supervisor.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • High School education required. 3-5 years’ experience being a traffic manager.

Certifications & Licenses

  • American Traffic Safety Servies (ATSSA) Flagger Certificate
